Wood slats bench is a simple project for beginning woodworkers to polish their woodworking tools. First, the project does not require you to have a lot of expensive woodworking equipment. Finally, the rear seat is a useful project that you at least have something to sit on when you’re done.
Cut the 6-inch square plywood slice over the center from one corner to the next to create two right-angled triangles. Create a wood slats bench that is 4 feet 2 inches long and 6 inches tall, with a foot depth. Drill two 2-inch screws into each corner of the frame to secure the pieces together. The chair should protrude one inch on all sides from the base. Use a staple gun and wood glue to secure the pieces together. Apply wood glue to the base frame thickness of one inch and push the clip from the top of the seat into the frame.
Attach pieces using wood glue and a staple gun. Apply wood glue to 1-foot with the 6-inch surfaces of the wood slats bench frame and push the clip from the outside of the legs into the base frame. Attach pieces using wood glue and a staple gun. Apply the wood glue to the four foot, 2-inch, and 6-inch surfaces of the frame and drive the clip from the outside of the corner braces into the base frame.
